Scott Edwards, the captain of Netherlands admits that the plan was to get a win and get the points on the board so they got the job done. Mentions that Vikramjit Singh set the tone and the way Wesley Barresi, Bas de Leede, and Saqib Zulfiqar batted towards the end was wonderful. Adds that he is very happy with the fact that Vikramjit got his first ton. Claims that they did look at the run rate and they were doing well but Oman got a partnership going through the middle so he does not know what the situation is currently. Ends by saying that they will watch the other games but can't do much about it and will prepare for their match.

Aryan Dutt bowled a remarkable spell for Netherlands conceding just 31 runs in his 10 overs and claiming three wickets. The other two spinners proved to be a bit too expensive with Bas de Leede and Logan van Beek also having off days. Ryan Klein was impressive with match figures of 9-1-34-2 but it was the batters who will take most of the credit for this win. Vikramjit Singh scored his maiden century to set up the inning and Wesley Barresi missed out on his hundred but provided the impetus required as he accumulated 97 runs in just 65 deliveries. Useful contributions from Max O'Dowd, Bas de Leede, and Saqib Zulfiqar helped them post a huge total on the board. The Oman bowlers lacked discipline as they conceded 23 runs in wides and were quite expensive. Bilal Khan had three wickets under his belt and Mohammad Nadeem chipped in with two as well but they had left their batters with an uphill task.

Oman got off to a decent start with a bat but a misunderstanding between the openers resulted in the wicket of Jatinder Singh. Aqib Ilyas has been the man in form for Oman in this competition but could not get going this time around. Kashyap Prajapati, who notched up a century in his previous outing, got off to a decent start but could not capitalize. Mohammad Nadeem seemed to struggle at the wicket but a 112-run partnership in 107 deliveries between Ayaan Khan and Shoaib Khan gave Oman a glimmer of hope. Shoaib perished four runs short of his half-century but Ayaan went on to notch up his maiden century. Despite his best efforts, he did not get enough support from the other end and they were well behind the game as the required run rate kept building. Eventually, the match was called off prematurely but there was no chance the target could be achieved even if the game had been played out.

A comfortable win for Netherlands has helped them keep their qualification hopes alive! They have put up a professional display here to register a 74-run win by DLS Method over Oman who are still hunting for their first win in the Super Sixes. It was the Dutch batting that set the tone for this game in the first inning and the bowlers stuck to their jobs to help their team get over the finish line with ease. Oman did put up a decent fight with Ayaan Khan fighting a lone battle as he got Oman’s eleventh century in ODI cricket and the third fastest of the lot.

The umpires are worried about the light and have decided to call the players off which means that there will be no more action in this game as there are no floodlights at this ground. The players shake hands and the revised total at this stage would have been 320. This means Oman are well short of the score and Netherlands seal a crucial win in the context of their qualification chances.
