Windies plan strategy change against India's spin

Captain Darren Sammy concedes West Indies may have to change tactics against India's spinners in their World Cup Group B match after its big-hitters failed to dominate England's slow bowlers.

Sammy says his batsmen "could have a different strategy" against India on a turning Chennai pitch on Sunday after off-spinners James Tredwell and Graeme Swann shared seven wickets for England to send West Indies tumbling to defeat at the same ground on Thursday.

West Indies dropped run accumulator Shivnarine Chanderpaul for that match in a surprise move, placing emphasis on the power of Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Sammy himself.

It didn't work. Sammy says the line-up will now contain boundary hitters and "guys who can rotate the strike."
