David Ferrer put pressure early on Djokovic as he took the first set 6-2.
Novak however was soon in his groove as Ferrer had no answer to his brand of tennis as he effortlessly took the second set 6-1.
The Serbian was in no mood to ease the pressure on his opponent as he took the third set 6-4 to get a clear advantage in the match.
He delivered the final blow in the fourth set to take the game 2-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 and set a date with Andy Murray with a chance to avenge his Olympic semifinal loss at the hands of the Scot.
