Kiran Bedi to boycott Olympic torch relay
Former IPS officer and tough cop Kiran Bedi has decided to boycott the Olympic torch relay in New Delhi. She is the second person to do this after Indian football captain Baichung Bhutia.Where Bhutia decided to boycott due to sympathy for the Tibetan cause, Bedi, a former sportsperson, has said that all the security around the torch is just suffocating. She said she felt caged and it goes against the spirit of the Olympic Games.
