A total of 332 players, including 186 Indians, have been shortlisted to go under the hammer during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 auction on December 19 in Kolkata. Chris Lynn, Dale Steyn, Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell have all opted for the highest base price of Rs 2 crore each, while Robin Uthappa has the highest base price of Rs 1.5 crore among Indian players. Ahead of the auction, teams were allowed to trade players and some teams made most of it. Mumbai Indians bolstered their bowling by including Trent Boult, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane both joined Delhi Capitals. Kings XI Punjab go into the auction with the highest purse cap of Rs 42.70 crore, while Mumbai, with Rs 13.05 crore, have the least amount of money in their bag.
