India Sacrificed Rahane at No. 3, Gavaskar Tells NDTV

India sacrificed a good man when they sent Ajinkya Rahane to bat at number three instead of Rohit Sharma, whose poor form had been a concern for the tourists in Sri Lanka. After opener Murali Vijay departed early, Rahane walked in, only to become Dhamika Prasad's second victim for four. Gavaskar also said Rohit's 79, which came at No. 5 was a career-defining knock and could boost his prospects in the team after a remarkable slump in form.
