Boy Who Scored 1009 Runs Wins 'Against All Odds' Award

Mumbai schoolboy Pranav Dhanawade grabbed international headlines in January when he smashed an unbeaten 1009 runs off 327 deliveries and notched up the highest individual score in minor cricket, breaking a 117-year-old record. At the NDTV Indian of the Year Awards, the 15-year-old, whose father works as an auto rickshaw driver, won the 'Against All Odds' award.
