Ashwin vs Gayle? Laxman, Lara Differ on India's Best Bowling Bet
Chris Gayle can be explosive on his day. Against India though, he has not crossed 50 runs in the last 10 ODIs. As India face off against West Indies, former cricketer VVS Laxman feels the defending champions should rely on Ravichandran Ashwin's spin early. "Gayle would be under pressure and it would be good to test him with Ashwin's turn early," he tells NDTV. Legendary West Indies cricketer Brian Lara though is not too sure. "I am backing Gayle to hit big. India have good fast bowlers and using spin early on may not be a smart move.
