Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Super Giants Highlights, IPL 2025: Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh made mockery of SRH's total, helping LSG register an easy five-wicket win in their IPL 2025 game at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Pooran slammed 70 off 26 while Marsh scored 52 off 31 as LSG chased down the target of 191 in 16.1 overs. Earlier, Shardul Thakur picked four wickets while giving 34 runs in his four overs to help LSG restrict SRH to 190 for 9. Shardul Thakur dismissed Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan in consecutive deliveries in the 3rd over of the innings to rock the Pat Cummins-led side. However, Travis Head's brutal attack (47 off 28) kept SRH going. The southpaw was cleaned up by Prince Yadav and LSG made a good comeback. Aniket Verma slammed 36 off 13 while captain Cummins hit 18 off 4 as SRH stayed firm on their template of scoring quick runs and that reaped rewards for them. LSG always remained ahead in the chase, thanks to Pooran and Marsh's fifties. (Scorecard)
Abdul Samad slams Harshal Patel for a six on the final ball of the 15th over. A total of 13 runs came off the over. Lucknow Super Giants need 15 runs in 30 balls. They just need two good overs to win this game.
Nicholas Pooran is out for 70 off 26 balls. Pat Cummins has dismissed Pooran as LBW and umpire has raised his finger. Pooran has decided to review it and ball tracking shows he is plumb. SRH get a wicket but it might be too late for them. Lucknow Super Giants need 71 runs in 68 balls.
Nicholas Pooran raced to his half-century in only 18 balls. He got there with a six off Adam Zampa. The southpaw continued and slammed yet another six in the over before hitting a four too in it. A total of 19 runs came off the over. This is maniac hitting from Pooran! He is at 61 off 21. Lucknow Super Giants need 95 runs in 78 balls.
Mohammed Shami was hit for two sixes and a four in his second over. A total of 18 runs came off it. While Nicholas Pooran had already shifted gears, Mitchell Marsh has also joined the party from the other end. LSG are going really good in this chase.
Mitchell Marsh has come in as an impact substitute for Digvesh Rathi. He opens the batting with Aiden Markram. Okay, here is the surprise. Abhishek Sharma will bowl the first over. Here we go...
Shardul Thakur got the wicket of Mohammed Shami on the first ball of the over. It was a slower ball bowled wide off Shami and he only managed to get the toe-end of the bat to the fielder inside the ring. SRH went nine down with that wicket.
Avesh Khan was hit for a six on the second ball of the over but he made a brilliant comeback and dismissed Pat Cummins on the very next ball. A total of 11 runs came off the over.
Just six runs came off Prince Yadav's last over. He ends up his brilliant spell with figures of 1 for 29 in four overs. He not only remained economical but also claimed the crucial wicket of Travis Head. LSG need to keep it tight.
Heinrich Klaasen has been run-out in a bizarre manner. Prince Yadav effected the dismissal or say the dismissal has been effected Yadav. Nitish Reddy stuck the ball hard but it hit Prince on his left hand and got deflected from there and hit the stumps at the non-striker's end. Klaasen was well out of his crease and he had to walk back for 17-ball 26.
This is a Klaasen special!!! He just cleared his front leg and slammed that googly into the crowd for a biggie. It was superb slog-sweep from Klaasen as he desposited the ball into the stand over the deep mid-wicket. Runs keep coming for SRH!
Ravi Bishnoi trapped Travis Head on the first ball of his first over but Nicholas Pooran made a massive blunder. He dropped the easy chance at long-on to see the SRH opener survive. How costly it is going to be for LSG is hard to tell at this point. Just a ball after that Head slammed a powerful six over extra cover and reached to 42 off 21.
Digvesh Rathi has conceded 9 runs in his first over that also included a no-ball. Apart from the no-ball, the spinner bowled really well. Notably, this was the first over in this innings that didn't have any boundary in it.
