Asked to bat first, PBKS posted a whopping total of 191/5 in 20 overs after Rajapaksa smashed 50 while Dhawan scored 40. For KKR, Tim Southee scalped two wickets while Varun Chakaravarthy, Sunil Narine, and Umesh Yadav scalped one wicket each. Later, PBKS dominated KKR as they removed early wickets before Andre Russell and Venkatesh Iyer brought some momentum in the game. However, the duo departed after scoring 35 and 34, respectively. Later, rain played a spoilsport in the game as the match had to be called-off and PBKS were declared as the winners by 7 runs due to the DLS method.
