As it Happened - India vs Sri Lanka, 1st ODI at Cuttack

Sri Lanka had to come out and go after everything but however, the Indian bowlers bowled quick and kept good lines. It kept struggling the batsmen and they kept throwing wickets at regular intervals. None of the batsmen from Sri Lanka really got going apart from Jayawardene who was the top scorer with 43 runs. Ishant Sharma was the leading wicket-taker for India, picking up 4 wickets.

India win comprehensively here. They have performed well in all departments of the game. They batted well in the first innings to put up a huge total on the board, with Rahane and Dhawan getting a century each. All the bowlers from Sri Lankan bowling attack were expensive, however Randiv got 3 wickets.
