India fell short of New Zealand's first innings total of 365 by 12 runs. Virat Kohli and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni though, completed a century and fifty respectively. For New Zealand, skipper Ross Taylor again tried to lead the way with a solid 35, while Franklin made 41. It was Ashwin who got the wickets for India.
