# Shivnarine Chanderpaul has equalled the West Indian record for most Test appearances (132), held by Courtney Walsh.

# Virat Kohli has posted his first duck in Tests.

# Ravi Rampaul (3/38) has recorded his best bowling figures against India, bettering the 3 for 59 at Kingston in the present series.

# VVS Laxman (85) has posted his eighth fifty against West Indies - his 50th in Tests.

# Laxman has become the fourth Indian to aggregate 1,000 runs or more in the Caribbean, joining Rahul Dravid (1417), Sunil Gavaskar (1404) and Polly Umrigar (1005).

# Laxman is the third Indian to post 50 fifties. Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid have recorded 59 fifties each in Tests.

# VVS Laxman has completed his 8000 runs in Tests. He is the fourth Indian to perform - 8000 runs (ave.47.05) in 122 Tests, including 16 fifties.

# Laxman took 201 innings to reach 8000 runs - the fourth fastest by an Indian, next only to Sachin Tendulkar (154), Rahul Dravid (158) and Sunil Gavaskar (166).

# The top Indian run-scorers are - Sachin Tendulkar (14692), Rahul Dravid (12220), Sunil Gavaskar (10122) and VVS Laxman (8000).

# Laxman is the 22nd batsman to complete 8000 runs or more in Tests.

# Laxman has averaged 50.84 against West Indies - 1271 in 18 Tests, including three hundreds. He has completed his 1000 runs (ave.45.45) in 15 Tests in the Caribbean. His tally includes two centuries and eight fifties.

# VVS Laxman and Suresh Raina were involved in a stand of 117 for the fifth wicket - India's highest at Bridgetown, surpassing the 81 between Mohinder Amarnath and Ravi Shastri in April 1983.

# Raina (53) has registered his second half-century against the West Indies - his fourth in Tests.

# Raina has averaged 55.85 away from home as against his average of 20.57 at home.

# Rahul Dravid has become the first batsman to play 200 innings at number three in Tests.
