"The whitewash against England is terrible. I know this will hurt India, but England played very good cricket. English cricketers have utilised their home conditions well. It is very difficult to play swing and seam bowling there and we experienced similar issues during the Ashes in 2005 where we lost 1-2," Lee said on the sidelines of a promotional event in Mumbai on Friday.
Lee hopes the world champions will bounce back in the ODI series. "England played some very good cricket in the Test series, but I think India will not be happy with the result and they will work hard to give it back in the ODIs."
Asked about the injuries to Indian fast bowlers, Lee was quick to point out the difficulties the pacers face. "Being a fast bowler is the toughest job. You have to work hard to remain strong and fit. When you land on your front foot, 15 times of your body weight lands on the front foot, but it is fun. When I am away from cricket, I do a lot of training which keeps me fit and close to the game."
