Williamson looked at ease on this wicket as he handled the Bangladeshi bowlers well.

Colin Munro, who was known for his attacking instincts, curbed down as he scored a vital 35 off 33 balls.

Bangladesh bowled with discipline as they restricted New Zealand in the death overs.

Ross Taylor chipped in with a crucial knock of 28 as New Zealand aimed at a score close to 150.

However, Mustafizur Rahman put in a brilliant display to pick up 5/22. This was the first five-wicket haul by a Bangladesh bowler in the World T20 and it was the second time a Bangladesh bowler had taken a five-wicket haul in T20Is. First bowler to achieve the feat was Elias Sunny.

However, on this sluggish wicket, New Zealand managed 145/8, which was a total which could be defended thanks to the variety in the Kiwi attack.

New Zealand responded in style and led by Ish Sodhi, Mitchell Santner and Grant Elliott, Bangladesh wilted in spectacular fashion.

A 10-minute delay due to a floodlight failure did not deter New Zealand's victory march in Kolkata.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 70 as they lost the match by 75 runs to end their dismal campaign in the World T20.
Zoom
Bangladesh's score of 70 was their lowest in Twenty20 Internationals and it was the lowest score by any team against New Zealand.
