Kuala Lumpur:
Even as India kick-started its Asia Cup hockey campaign in style with a 5-1 win over China, confusion prevailed over Baljit Singh Dhillon's omission from SundayaÂÂs opening match in Pool B. While sources close to the team said Dhillon did not play because he had an upset stomach, coach Rajinder Singh insisted that resting the Punjab forward was part of a gameplan. "We decided to rest him. It was tactical decision taken by the team management. He is perfectly okay otherwise," Rajinder said. With the gag on media still in place, players were not willing to talk and the behind-the-scene story could not be known. (PTI)
