The world's top golfers have been quick to praise the Royal Troon Golf Course, which will play host to the 133rd Open Championship in Scotland later this week. The first round gets underway early on Thursday and some of the biggest names in golf have expressed their satisfaction with what they believe will be a fair test of their ability. Star-studded cast A star-studded cast has assembled at the links course on the west coast of Scotland, with none of the world's top players missing from a top quality field. Once again, there's a lot of attention surrounding world number one Tiger Woods. Woods is suffering from a drop in form, despite statistically remaining the top golfer around by some margin. Some have questioned his commitment and desire of late, but the former champion seems as keen as ever to get his hands on the claret jug once again. (AP)
