Jyoti Randhawa went on a birdie-firing spree in his back-nine to return a five-under 67 and rise to the tied 20th after the penultimate round of Abu Dhabi Golf Championship on Saturday.
The Delhi-pro has a total of eight-under 208 in the event. The other Indians in fray, Jeev Milkha Singh (70) and Shiv Kapur (77) were tied for the 39th and 72nd spot respectively.
Playing his back-nine first, Randhawa stroked in five birdies in a flawless effort to make the turn five-under.
The front-nine did not go as smoothly and after picking up a shot on the second hole, Randhawa had a bogey-birdie-bogey finish.
Jeev, also a 10th tee starter, had a roller-coaster day and after opening with a birdie on the 10th, he stumbled a bogey on the 14th.
After another bogey on the 16th, he got his act together to hit a birdie-brace on the 17th and 18th to make the turn one-under.
His front-nine comprised a couple of birdies against a lone bogey on the fourth leaving his overall total at five-under 211.
However, it turned out to be a complete nightmare for another 10th tee starter Shiv, who managed just one birdie against six bogeys - four of which on the trot in the back nine.
As a result, Shiv lay at the bottom of the heap with a total of three-over 219.
At the top, Englishman Paul Casey grabbed a massive four-stroke lead with a sensational 63 in the third round that took his three-round total to 19-under 197.
German Martin Kaymer was second on the leader-board after carding a 65.
