Top golfer Jeev Milkha Singh is looking forward to perform well in next week's British Masters, even as he tries to recover from an injury.
"At the moment I am only 65 per cent fit and it will take another 2-3 weeks to become absolutely fit. In the last tournament I was playing only on the support of painkillers. Now, I am really looking forward to the British Masters," 37-year-old Jeev said on Tuesday.
He will be leaving for England on September 21 to take part in the tournament, which will be held from September 25-28.
"I want to perform well there and improve my world rankings. Belfry is my favourite golf course so I am really optimistic about this tournament," he said.
The golfer had injured a tendon in his right ankle around 10 weeks ago.
He said on the advice of his doctor he was taking "periodic breaks".
"I just want to continue with my present form and win more titles in future. I really want to win the World Cup that is slated for October end," he said.
Jeev, son of the legendary 'Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh, said he felt there was still a lot of golf left in him and he could easily continue for another eight years.
