Wentworth:
Britain's Darren Clarke has a one-stroke lead at the halfway stage of the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth in England. Clarke followed up his 66 opening round with a 69 on Friday and that was good enough to give him a one shot lead over Niclas Fasth of Sweden - with another four players a further stroke behind. The second round was a good one for Nick Faldo. A birdie at the 18th was one of seven in his round of 68 - and that gave him a halfway total of 139 - five under par. His former Ryder Cup teammate, Colin Montgomerie, also picked up a birdie at the last in his round of 70 - taking him too to five under for the two rounds. The two Britons are a stroke behind Trevor Immelman of South Africa. Immelman himself is a stroke behind Kenneth Ferrie of England and Soren Hansen of Denmark. (AP)
