Lego Unveils 27-Ft World Cup Trophy Built With 1.36 Million Bricks

Lego has a unveiled a giant World Cup statue in the middle of Manhattan. With 1.36 million Lego bricks, Lego has constructed a replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy. Built in the Czech Republic and transported to New York's Rockefeller Plaza, the 27ft. tall trophy took 56 worker over 7,000 hours to build. The giant trophy was inspired by Lego's at home FIFA World Cup trophy kit. The at-home kit was designed by Lego model designer Christophe Vietti. Vetti and Brazilian football legend Cafu unveiled the statue in the rain on Monday in New York.
