According to sources in the board, Khurrum Malik, who was head of commercial operations for the PSL, had submitted his resignation on Friday, two days after the board issued a press release confirming that Managing Director Sarwar Salman Butt had resigned.
Butt's resignation came few days after the PCB announced the postponement of the PSL, which was due to be held from March 26 to April 7.
The board, while postponing the event, cited time constraints as the major reason for the decision.
The source said that Malik had resigned, citing personal reasons for his decision.
The PCB has appointed Javed Miandad as the acting MD for the PSL.
Referring to the PSL, the PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf told reporters that it would now be held at an appropriate time, and also insisted that the decision to postpone the PSL was taken in best interests of Pakistan cricket and was a correct one.
