In his reaction towards Virender Sehwag & Co's revolt against DDCA, Haryana Cricket Association president Arvind Chaudhary said they don't want to unnecesarily 'fish in troubled waters'.
When asked about Sehwag's joining Arvind Chaudhary said, "Under the current circusmtances I don't think welcome is the appropriate word to use. There's a connect with the people of Haryana because he's Haryanvi, but that's about it. We don't want to fish in troubled waters".
Downplaying the continuing revolt by the senior players, DDCA Sports Secretary Sunil Dev on Thursday assured that the players who decided to stay away from the Ranji conditioning training camp would join the camp soon.
"I assure you that players will return for the camp soon," said Sunil Dev.
Two more players decided to skip the camp today in addition to the seven who did not attend the camp on Wednesday, to join the revolt led by Virender Sehwag against the Delhi and District Cricket Association.
Ashish Nehra who had attended the camp on the first day was also missing from the training camp on Thursday along with Aditya Jain and Sunny Sherawat.
Sunil Dev also clarified that Gautam Gambhir and Ashish Nehra were unwell today.
Ishant Sharma too skipped the second day of the camp.
The DDCA sports secretary also said that no selection of selectors would take place until the body's president, Arun Jaitley, met with Sehwag and other senior players.
Sehwag, who threatened to quit the Delhi team for Haryana, is likely to meet DDCA President Arun Jaitley on August 26 or 27. Officials said a resolution would be worked out.
Sehwag had alleged that the selection process for the Delhi team was manipulated by the all-powerful Sports Committee. He received support from other senior players like Gambhir, Ishant and Nehra on the issue.
