Fawad Alam played the anchor's role from then on as Afridi went berserk to bring the equation in Pakistan's favour and then Alam and Akmal held their nerves to power Pakistan to a victory in the final over.
What a chase by Pakistan! This is their highest run chase ever in the history of ODIs! It's that man again, Shahid Boom Boom Afridi, who was the catalyst behind the win. He came in at 225/5 in the 42nd over and just turned the match around with a whirlwind 59 off 25 balls. Chasing a huge target, the openers provided them a good start but then lost their way in the middle losing three wickets quickly. Shehzad, however, held fort and reached his century as he added 105 runs with Fawad Alam to keep Pakistan on track. Shehzad departed in the Batting Powerplay and then Rehman too didn't last long.
