Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took to social media on Saturday, to share a picture where he can be seen wearing all the colours of the Indian team's jersey back during his playing days. Tendulkar was seen smiling at the camera, while being surrounded by several trees in a photo uploaded on social media platform Instagram. "Wearing all the colors I wore for #TeamIndia!," read the caption on the picture. The 47-year-old retired from international cricket on November 16, 2013 having called time on his career, following the conclusion of a two-match Test series against the West Indies.

Tendulkar made his debut for the Indian team on November 15, 1989 in a Test match against Pakistan, which was held in Karachi.
The former Indian cricketer was only 16 years old at that time, going on to make his debut in ODI cricket on December 18, 1989.

The 47-year-old was India's leading run-scorer and the second-highest run-scorer overall in the 2011 edition of the World Cup, where the Indian team registered a historic triumph.
The hosts defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the final of the tournament, which took place at the Wankhede Stadium.
