Both of them are entertainers but when Sachin Tendulkar met MF Husain it wasn't cricket or art that took the center stage but sheer admiration for each other.
Thousands of miles away from home, the master blaster met the master painter at his apartment in London for his gift of appreciation.
While the issue of Sachin Tendulkar's retirement is being hotly debated back home, the Bombay bomber chose to take his eyes off the cricket ball and enter MF Husain's world for a while on Friday.
This was a private meeting between Sachin and the painter during which the nonagenarian presented him with a painting that of a horse, a Husain trademark.
"Now that he has given such a good performance and played so well, I feel I should give him a token of my appreciation. Also it is true that even I am 92 not out," said MF Husain, Painter.
He may be 92 but his sense of humour is as intact as his firm brushstrokes on the canvas.
On voluntary exile in London, Husain is busy preparing for an exhibition in Dubai.
His acrylic on canvas was special one that left even the master blaster awestruck.
MF Hussain and Sachin- both master stroke makers. Their playing fields may be different but it takes one master to recognize the other.
