Shane Warne's Warriors won the toss against Tendulkar's Sachin Blasters and they chose to field first. The opening duo of Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag turned the clock back and thrilled the fans with an amazing display of hitting. Sehwag, in particular, was at his brutal best as he smashed a fifty off 20 balls, including six sixes.

Daniel Vettori got rid of Sehwag for 55 and it was the turn of Shane Warne to spin his mastery. He got rid of Tendulkar for 26 and then snapped up Brian Lara and VVS Laxman to get his team back in the match. The wicket of Tendulkar gave Warne positive pleasure as Jacques Kallis took a stunning one-handed catch.

The fact that Warne got both Lara and Tendulkar out, two batting sorcerers in his spell, showed that his magic was still in tact. Warne's figures of 4-0-20-3 restricted Sachin's Blasters to 140/8.

The fans displayed plenty of nostalgia as the legends of the game squared off. Many Indian fans picked on the occasion and expressed their delight. This one poster highlighted the golden period in India's batting when they had the likes of VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly.

It was the turn of Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar to put on a fantastic show. At 40 years of age, Akhtar showed the world that he had still not lost his pace and he troubled the batsmen with his extra pace and bounce. The world once again witnessed the awesome moment of Akhtar spread-eagle in celebration after he had taken a wicket.

However, Ricky Ponting showed his mastery and calmly guided Warne's Warriors over the line with a fine knock of 48 off 38 balls, including three fours and three sixes. His knock helped Warne's Warriors win the match by six wickets.

After the match, the players thanked the fans and that drew plenty of cheers from the huge crowd. The star attraction was Tendulkar who waved at the fans and acknowledged their support.
