Mohammad Asif has been suspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday.
Asif had failed a dope test during the Indian Premier League. The PCB said Asif has the right to clear his name under ICC's anti-doping policy.
PCB will offer all assistance to IPL Drugs tribunal on the issue and will implement its final decision.
The Pakistan squad of 30 probables for the Champions Trophy was also announced on Tuesday.
Shoaib Akhtar, who is amidst a legal to-and-fro with the PCB, has been named in the squad.
Earlier, the PCB had said that the fast bowler must pay a fine of Rs 7 million for a previous misdemeanor to be able to qualify for the Champions Trophy.
However, Shoaib's legal counsel filed a plea to hold back the fine till the Lahore High Court reaches a decision on the case.
A PCB press release also said that a doping test would be performed on all 30 players on July 19 and 20 at Lahore.
The release said any player failing the test or failing to give samples for the test shall become ineligible for selection and will also face disciplinary proceeding under PCB's Anti Doping Policy.
