South Africa just weren't at their best with the ball yet again. Mulder was excellent with the new ball but after that, they found it difficult to contain the runs. There were far too many boundary balls and the ability to take wickets in the between wasn't there as their spinners didn't get a lot of purchase. Bavuma will be disappointed they couldn't defend a massive score but credit to Pakistan who batted brilliantly.

What a way to head into the finals by recording the highest chase for Pakistan! A sublime batting effort. Chasing a big total they needed a good stat and the openers provided it. They though lost three quickly which put them onto the back foot. Then though came the match winning partnership between Salman and Rizwan. They started off slowly but picked up pace as the innings progressed. They added over 200 with both scoring tons. Agha fell right towards the end but Rizwan played a captain's knock to help his side record a memorable win.
