The gala will be hosted at the MCC's famous Long Room on the day Pataudi passed away due to lung infection last year.
The relationship between the MCC and the Nawabs of Pataudi dates back to the time when Iftikar Ali Khan Pataudi, Mansur's father, donned the MCC colours on England's tour of Australia in 1932-33.
Later, MAK Pataudi, or Tiger as he was known to the cricketing world, famously captained India at Lord's in 1967.
In 2007, the MCC had commissioned a trophy for Test match series between India and England, which was named the Pataudi Trophy in honour of Tiger's father, the 8th Nawab. The special dinner ceremony is yet another honour bestowed upon one of India's greatest cricket captains.
