So just 13.3 overs of play today, let's hope the rain stays away in the coming games as things could get interesting. Zimbabwe might not mind this result at all as this has opened up the tournament with all the three teams in with a good chance of getting into the final. Let's see how the tri-series pans out from here. Do join us for the next game between Sri Lanka and West Indies on 23rd November at 1300 IST. Until then, it's goodbye and take care!
1835 IST - The match has been ABANDONED! The outfield had already taken a beating and the rain has ensured we do not get any more play. The umpires said that they went off the field due to lightning but the rain followed soon. They thought that the ground did well to recover in time but sadly the rain had the final say. Both teams share a couple of points each as a result.
1800 IST - Nothing much to share, there will be another inspection in about half an hour. Hope they get the outfield ready till then. Stay tuned for the next inspection at 1830 IST!
1715 IST - There was an inspection sometime back. There is another one scheduled at 1740 IST. The outfield was already damp and has taken another beating. Let's hope for the best.
1630 IST - The rain has relented and the covers are being taken off. Let's wait for the news on the outfield though. The cut-off time for the game is 1930 IST. Stay tuned.
1545 IST - The rain is back, very light and the covers are back on the field. The wait prolongs......
1500 IST - The rain seems to have eased off but there are huge puddles on the field and it will take a marathon effort from the groundsmen to get the ground ready for play. Remember the outfield has already taken a lot of rain since yesterday. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
1435 IST - It is absolutely pouring down and looks like we are in for a long delay. Stay tuned!
1415 IST - The players are going off with a threat of downpour. The covers are on the field. It always looked on the cards. It has gone very dark at the ground. Lightning seems to be an issue too. Stay tuned for the latest updates.

What's going on? Another run out chance! Floated on middle, Ervine clips it towards mid-wicket and looks for a single. Raza sends him back late. The throw comes in from square leg but it does not hit the stumps and the keeper fumbles as well. Ervine dives to get back into his crease. Mendis was the fielder there. Had that hit the stumps or the keeper collected it cleanly, Ervine was a goner!
