During the chase, the onus was once again on the captain, Muhammad Waseem to do the bulk of the job but Shoriful Islam came up with a peach of a delivery to get rid of him. A complete team performance from UAE! They chose to bowl first and pushed Bangladesh on the back foot right away. Bangladesh were reeling at 84/8 in the 14th over, done and out but thanks to Jaker Ali's fighting knock of 41 along with the tail, Hasan Mahmud and Shoriful Islam helped Bangladesh reach a respectable total. Bangladesh had the momentum, however it was United Arab Emirates who went into the break with a big smile on their face, knowing the bowlers have done a commendable job to give them a chance to create history.
United Arab Emirates have scripted history! They have beaten Bangladesh for the first time in the T20Is! The associate team came back from behind to win the series 2-1 against a giant and experienced Bangladesh team. It was a historic day for the United Arab Emirates and their fans.
