Suzie Bates is the Player of the Match. She says they let it get a little bit too close but the way they started, it helped them to soak the pressure. Applauds the innings of Kapp. Tells even Capsey played well. She doesn't try to tell her much and doesn't interfere with her instincts. Admits it was good to restrict the Rockets to such a low score. Tells it wasn't easy to bat on and tells her bowlers did really well.
Earlier, the bowlers of Oval Invincibles did well to keep Trent Rockets under control and it looked like an easy chase for the Invincibles but it got much closer and more interesting in the end. Marizanne Kapp stayed till the end and made sure she takes her team over the line.
Can't really blame the Rockets' bowlers. They just did not have enough on the board. They needed early wickets and they failed to take that. They did decently in the middle overs but overall, they just were not up for this game and in the end have been beaten. Trent Rockets Women did well to take a couple of wickets in the last 10 balls but 10-20 runs more could have helped them to give a tough fight.
Oval Invincibles Women get over the line in the end. It looked like an easy chase but turned out to be a thriller. Their bowlers set it up by keeping Rockets down to a score which we felt was well below par and they have chased it with ease. One good innings is all they needed and they got that from Marizanne Kapp. She set the chase up. Capsey and Bates also played their hand and in the end, it was a convincing win for the visitors.
