Smriti Mandhana lifts the trophy and that's all from this tournament! What a tournament it was and we have got a new winner in Trailblazers. They defeat Supernovas comfortably. It was a brilliant win and they should be proud of themselves. Supernovas, on the other hand, were not upto the mark in this game. On Tuesday, the 10th of November 2020, we have the Final of the Indian T20 League which is between Mumbai and Delhi. The action will begin at 1800 Local (1400 GMT). Join us for that. Until then, cheers and take care.
Smriti Mandhana, the Trailblazers' skipper and the PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT, says they were eager to get back home after the World Cup and get some rest but they never knew it would be for so long. Adds that initially it was good to spend time with parents but they did miss cricket. States it was good though to work on their basics. Mentions her wicket was crucial as this wicket was difficult to bat on so 120 or 130 was good enough but from where they were, 140 was achievable and that is something they need to work out. Adds she wanted her team to go for it and they knew if they bowl good 20 overs, they would win. Also tells, she was pretty confident with the bowling she has. Tells that 135 would have been good but 118 was also a good total on this wicket. Ends by saying that it was good to exchange knowledge with the overseas players and it was a great learning curve for the youngsters too.
Radha Yadav is the PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT. She says that she is feeling good to take a 5-fer but not pleased that they did not win. Adds that she was really happy when she saw the pitch. States that she worked on her bowling during the lockdown. Goes onto say that she was consistently playing and she felt in touch always.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the Supernovas' skipper, says the injury is not that bad, the loss is a part of the game but they will learn from them. Admits the total was not that tough to chase and they needed partnerships but they did not get one. Mentions it was very difficult for her to bat as she got injured in the first innings. Adds sitting at home was very difficult but they need to be safe.
Stay tuned for the rest of the presentation ceremony!
Time for Jhulan Goswami. She says that the plan was to bowl wicket to wicket and they executed it really well. Goes onto say that she was telling Ecclestone to bowl within the stumps and jokes that she will tell the rest of the things later. Adds that Chantam is a great character as she always smiles and it has been pleasing to share the dressing room with her.
Sophie Ecclestone comes up for a chat. She says that they are a great team and the tournament was amazing. Adds that it is great to win especially against a team like Supernovas and it felt really amazing to be a part of this team.
Deandra Dottin is now up for a talk. She tells that she is feeling great and is pleased to get selected for the Women's T20 Challenge. Tells that she was struggling a bit but the way Mandhana batted was amazing and it was pleasing to see her bat like this. Adds that she is happy to win the tournament.
Deepti Sharma now joins for a chat. She says that she worked a lot during the lockdown on both her batting and bowling. Adds that they had made plans for every batter.
Harleen Deol is there for a chat. She says that she is very excited and they had come with a plan to defeat Supernovas this time as they lost a close match last time around. Goes onto say that they had played against them before and they knew how to bowl on this slow and low wicket.
Earlier in the day, Mandhana's blazing knock got the Trailblazers off to a brilliant start. Radha's fifer though pulled things back and kept them to a total which was probably a little under par. However, an excellent bowling effort, a combined bowling effort actually by them has helped them win this Final.
The batting from the Supernovas was quite ordinary! They failed to find the boundaries and even struggled to rotate the strike. Also, they needed someone to bat long but all their batters who got their eye in fell when it mattered. Kaur hung in there but she kept losing partners. Also, she batted with an injury which did not help her cause. In the end, a lot was asked of her and she failed to deliver.
All their bowlers, right from the start were on the money! Ecclestone and Goswami were brilliant with the new ball. One got the important wicket and the other built the pressure by keeping it nice and tight. Deepti was outstanding after the first 6 and she was well supported by Khatun and Gayakwad. Overall, it was a complete performance from their bowlers.
Celebration time for the Trailblazers! It is not three times out of three for the Supernovas as they have been outplayed by a brilliant Trailblazers side. What a bowling performance by them! They weren't defending a lot but they have done it quite easily. Yes, this chase was never going to be easy on this wicket but the bowling side still had to bowl nicely and they have done so brilliantly.

Run out appeal! It has been referred! The Trailblazers do not care though as they have started celebrating.

OUT! CAUGHT! Trailblazers closing in on victory! Brilliant stuff from them. Tossed up on middle, Vastrakar looks to go over deep mid-wicket but does not time it well. It goes towards mid-wicket where Ecclestone takes the catch.

OUT! TIMBER! Is that the end of the game? Harmanpreet Kaur was struggling with her injury and she had no other option to go for the big shots. Brilliant bowling from Khatun. Floated ball on middle, Kaur dances down the track and then looks to heave it away but misses and the ball goes onto hit the stumps.

OUT! RUN OUT! Patil goes! She was struggling anyway. She just could not find the big shots and she perishes. Supernovas are on top here. Floated on middle, Harmanpreet heaves it to the deep square leg region. She wants the couple and takes off. The throw is to the bowler who whips the bails off. The third umpire is called for and the replays show that Patil was out of her crease.
A run out appeal has been taken upstairs. Patil seems in. Replays though show she is just short.
