Right then. That's it from the coverage of this game. The Big Bash League action will return on Saturday, the 17th of December when Perth Scorchers will take on Sydney Sixers. The first ball will be at 1.35 pm IST (8.05 am GMT). But you can join us early for the build-up. Until then, take care and goodbye.
Henry Thornton (2.5-1-3-5) is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his unreal spell of bowling. He says that he honestly cannot believe what just took place. Mentions they just tried to bowl on top of the stumps and really just focused on executing their plans. Adds that he likes to play with a couple of slips in place and it is really unique. Informs that they thought 150 would've been a great total but in the end, 139 turned out to be more than enough. Jokingly says that he thinks that he needs to retire now as it cannot get any better than this.
The presentation ceremony...
Earlier in the game, Peter Siddle opted to bat first which didn't turn out to be the best decision as runs were hard to come by and the top-order batters had an off day. However, a stand between Chris Lynn and Colin de Grandhomme gave them a bit of impetus but neither of them were able to stay till the death overs. Sydney Thunder bowled well and their pace battery was on a roll, keeping the Strikers to an under-par score of 139 runs with Fazalhaq Farooqi being the star. What seemed to be a pretty straightforward chase for the Thunder, turned out to be their worst nightmare as they were bowled out in just 29 deliveries for 15 runs and now have the unwanted record of the lowest T20 total at the senior level to their name. As for the Strikers, they march on!
Take a bow, Adelaide Strikers! This is been an utmost brilliant display of bowling and catching from them and even though they had help from the opposition batters, you have to credit their work in the field. Matthew Short didn't do much with the bat but got his side to a perfect start with the ball and then took one of the best first-slips catches one would ever see to put his side on top of proceedings. Wes Agar and Henry Thornton just kept on probing away around the off stump line and kept on finding the outside edges. Agar finished with 4 wickets to his name and Thornton ended with a five-wicket haul as the pair ripped through the Thunder's batting order.
How do Sydney Thunder recover from a defeat like this one? When they went into the interval, they must have thought that 140 is easily gettable on this surface but the chase just turned into a nightmare for the home side and they have a lot of work to do. The innings didn't get off to a good start with the top-order batters chasing after wide deliveries and getting caught but to have not a single batter leaving the ball outside off with wickets tumbling down like nine pins is something that is unforgivable. Their highest scorer was Brendan Doggett with 4 runs and those runs came off an inside edge. 9 out of the 10 wickets that fell were catches which shows that Thunder gave too many chances for the opposition who didn't make any mistakes.
SYDNEY THUNDER HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 15 RUNS, THE LOWEST T20 TOTAL AT THE SENIOR LEVEL EVER! Let that sink in for a minute because no one can make any sense of it. The bowlers of Adelaide Strikers were brilliant, yes, but Sydney Thunder have just been poor with the bat. At the end of the day, it is a huge victory for the Strikers who make it two wins out of two to start off their campaign.

Henry Thornton To Brendan Doggett OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! That's it. There are no more wickets left in hand for Sydney Thunder and it is all over. Henry Thornton ends his innings with an outstanding fi-fer. It is a good-length ball, on off. Brendan Doggett gets it to backward point off the outer half. Thomas Kelly stationed there takes a sharp catch. Sydney Thunder have been bundled out for just 15 runs. Adelaide Strikers record a massive victory of 124 runs.

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Henry Thornton gets his fourth wicket. It is a good-length ball, wide of off. This one holds its line. Oliver Davies offers no foot movement and throws his blade at it. The ball takes a thick outside edge and Harry Nielsen makes no mistake behind the sticks. Sydney Thunder are nine down now.

FOUR! A rare boundary and Wes Agar is devastated to have conceded that. Hard length and around off, Brendan Doggett looks to block but gets an inside edge that goes past the stumps and runs away into the fine leg fence.
Brendan Doggett comes in at number 10.

Wes Agar To Gurinder Sandhu OUT!
OUT! TAKEN! Eight down now the Thunder with not even 5 overs completed, a complete disaster! Wes Agar serves it on a good length and in that channel around off stump. The ball angles away from the left-hander and Gurinder Sandhu is forced into having a dab at it. Sandhu gets an outside edge and Matthew Short at first slip takes a comfortable catch around waist height. The lowest men's T20 total at the senior level is 21 runs, surely we won't see that being broken here, will we?

Wes Agar To Chris Green OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Another one bites the dust and Wes Agar has his third wicket of the game. This is full and close to the off stump. Chris Green looks to drive it through covers but gets an outside edge that is safely pouched by Harry Nielsen behind the sticks. Sydney Thunder are now 7 down for 10 runs and are far, far away from the record lowest total in Big Bash League history.

A single now and that's probably the loudest cheer of the night, it isn't a happy one though. Good length around off, Oliver Davies edges it in front of point and gets across for the single.

Henry Thornton To Alex Ross OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! What is happening out there? Sydney Thunder lose their 6th wicket and they haven't even reached double figures! Good length around off and shaping away a touch. Alex Ross looks to defend it out but does so with hard hands. Another one that could have been left alone but Ross ends up getting an outside edge and Harry Nielsen takes it safely to his right. Henry Thornton picks up his third wicket and is all pumped up.
