So, that will be it from this game. SAM HARPER HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. The Renegades bag their first points of the season after a long, long time. That will be it from this game but join us on the other side as the Perth Scorchers take on the table-toppers Melbourne Stars. Cheers and take care!
Earlier in the game, Shaun Marsh and Sam Harper helped the Renegades reach a score on 172 with their skipper Daniel Christian providing the flourish in the end. Chris Morris was taken to the cleaners as he was hit for 40 runs in his 3 overs while Liam Bowe bowled well to take 2 wickets while conceding just 23 runs in his 4 overs.
All the bowlers were good for the Renegades except for Boyce. Nabi did go for 26 runs in his 3rd over but before that he was exceptional as well. However, the star was the skipper, Daniel Christian as he took 3 wickets and conceded just 14 runs off his 2 overs.
The innings did not start well for Thunder as they lost the wicket of Khawaja in the very first over. Ferguson was unlucky as he was dismissed in the most bizarre fashion. Daniel Sams also did not last long and then rain interrupted the game to cut it down to 14-overs-per-side. The Thunder needed 104 in 49 balls with Hales and Ross at the crease. Hales tried to provide the momentum but it never came and Morris followed soon. However, Ross smashed Nabi for 26 runs in an over and that gave Thunder a chance but Christian came on to bowl the penultimate over and delivered the final blow which bagged the points for the Renegades.
The Renegades have finally, finally won their first BBL match of the season and they have their skipper to thank for it as Daniel Christian has played a big part in it. The Sydney Thunder gave a tough fight but came up short in the end.

Daniel Christian To Alex Ross OUT!
OUT! Caught! This should be game, set and match for the Thunder! Ross departs and the Renegades skipper has almost seen his side over the line. Excellent over from the skipper. Good length delivery on off, Ross looks to clear covers but cannot time it well. Wildermuth runs behind and stretches to his maximum and takes a very good catch to send the dangerous Ross back to the pavilion.

Daniel Christian To Alex Ross
FIFTY FOR Ross. But can he take his side over the line? Full outside off, Ross comes down the track and yorks himself. He can just squeeze it wide of long off and gets a couple. Both the batters collide but manage to get to their ends.

Daniel Christian To Jay Lenton OUT!
OUT! Bowled! The skipper comes and calms the nerves. Smart bowling from the experienced campaigner. It is a slower ball and a yorker as well. Lenton looks to flick it but the ball goes right through the gap between bat and pad to disturb the middle and off poles.
Skipper, Daniel Christian to bowl the penultimate over.

Dot to finish off the over. A very full ball on off, Ross just about gets his bat on it. 26 runs off the over and now the Thunder stand a very good chance to win the game. Have the Renegades blow it again?

Samit Patel To Chris Morris OUT!
OUT! Morris holes out! That slightest hope also fades away with that. Samit flights it full on middle and off. It is slightly fuller than what Morris would have liked. He has no other option but to go for the big hits. He tries to clear wide long on with a big heave but he cannot get under the ball and hits it straight to the man there. Sutherland comes ahead and takes an easy catch. He looks at the crowd and does a fist pump. He is on cloud 9 and Renegades inching towards their first win of the season.
