Right then! That's all from this game! Tom Latham collects the trophy and poses for a photo along with his teammates. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have been thumped and they would like to come back stronger in the T20Is with the first one on 28th March 2021 at 1400 local (0100 GMT). The build-up will begin much before that. Till then, cheers and take care.
Tom Latham, the New Zealand skipper, says that it is nice to put in three good performances. Adds that Conway and Mitchell grabbed their opportunity and they were clinical with the ball. Tells that Conway was outstanding and the bowlers were outstanding at the top. Adds the pitch had some spice in it and it bounced a little more than expected. Goes onto say that when you see guys performing immediately from domestic cricket, it is very good to see. Tells that is about building on the performance and also says that Boult's catch was outstanding. Adds that it is great to play at the Basin Reserve.
Tamim Iqbal, the Bangladesh skipper, says that he is disappointed. Adds that they started well with the ball but Conway and Mitchell did not give them many chances. Credits New Zealand for playing well throughout the series. Tells that New Zealand played unbelievably well but mentions that 300s are chaseable in this part of the world but they needed to be patient. Goes onto say that they knew that the ball will nip around in this part of the world but these are good batting surfaces and they needed to be patient and if they had not lost any wickets early, they might have had the chance.
Devon Conway is the Man of the Match and also the Man of the Series. He says that it is a good feeling to score the runs for his team and to win the series. Says that his plan is to stay positive and play his natural game. About his partnership with Mitchell, Conway says that credit goes to Daryl for being positive with his game and says their plan was to keep wickets in hand till the end. Also says that it was pretty cool to bat up the order and that he learned a lot from his first game. Finishes by saying that there is a bit of pressure on him but having played quite of bit of first-class cricket has helped him deal with it well.
Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony!
What to speak about Bangladesh? They just did not get going. The game was done and dusted when they lost three quick wickets and they never recovered. Rahim and Mithun tried to get them back but they fell in quick succession and that was it. Mahmudullah did try hard and played superbly with the tail but it was too late and his fifty went in vain and they eventually ended up 164 runs short. Apart from the second ODI, their batting never clicked and they have been humbled 3-0.
New Zealand bowlers were terrific! They never let Bangladesh settle, starting with the spell of Matt Henry. He was just magnificent and he just terrorized the batsmen. He took the first three wickets to fall and then James Neesham came to the party as he took a 5-fer. Trent Boult did not take a wicket but he contributed with a terrific catch in the deep. Kyle Jamieson was good in his spell as well while Mitchell Santner did not get to do much. Overall, it was a brilliant bowling display.
A comprehensive victory for New Zealand! They have won the series 3-0 and they have been absolutely ruthless in this game. They were superb with the bat and they were superb with the ball as well to finish the game as they have won by 164 runs. Bangladesh, on the other hand, go into the T20I series winless and they will be disappointed.

James Neesham To Mustafizur Rahman OUT!
OUT! It is umpire's call on hitting the stumps and Neesham gets his 5-wicket haul! Fires a full one on the stumps and the ball thuds onto Mustafizur Rahman's pads. The umpire raises his finger immediately but Mahmudullah makes Mustafizur review it. Ultra Edge is a flatline, and Ball Tracker is umpire's call on hitting the stumps. New Zealand win the match by 164 runs!
Bangladesh have taken a review. Let's see what happens.
