Earlier in the innings after electing to bat first, Northern Warriors managed to put on a decent total on the board thanks to the fifty from Adam Hose. Morrisville Samp Army gave away a lot of runs at the fag end of the innings, but some incredible hitting from their batters have saved the day for them. Morrisville Samp Army will be relaxed now as they know they will get that extra game in the playoffs.
Northern Warriors could not finish on a high as it was the same story for them again. They started off well, but just could not make those crucial breakthroughs in the midddle. However, they did give their opponents a scare picking up a couple of wickets in quick succession, but they let the momentum get away from them by bowling a lot loose deliveries. Mohammad Irfan was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets. They will have a lot of time to think now and come back stronger next season.
Morrisville Samp Army started their chase on the wrong note as they lost Johnson Charles on very first ball. However, the Shimron Hetmyer and Karim Janat took control of the game and smashed the bolwers all around the park. Shimron Hetmyer just missed out on his fifty but gave a good platform to the other batters to chase this down. However, there was a moment when they lost both Hettie and David Miller on consecutive balls and Moeen Ali got out to soon after. That did not cost them much as Chamika Karunaratne and Dwaine Pretorius made sure that no more damage is done and they took their side over the line quite comfortably in the end.
We have witnessed another thriller here! Morrisville Samp Army have completed their chase in style and they are going top of the table for now.
