That's all from this match but don't go too far away as Northern Superchargers and Manchester Originals will be crossing swords in The Hundred (Men) shortly at 11.30 pm IST (6 pm GMT). See you then!
Hollie Armitage, the captain of Northern Superchargers Women, says that she brought the girls together after Dottin's knock and told them that it's a really good wicket for batting. Feels that Manchester Originals Women were 10-12 runs short. Praises Katie Levick for her bowling and says that they are lucky to have her in the team. She is in awe with the way Laura Wolvaardt was striking the ball and knew it was her day.
Laura Wolvaardt (90* off 49 balls) is the unanimous choice for the Player of the Match award. Starts by sharing that she was hitting the ball nicely in the warm-up and brought that into the game as well. Adds that she felt good and at the point where they needed around 50 off 25 balls, she changed gears. Mentions that with Jemimah Rodrigues ruled out, they had to shuffle the order a bit and that's why she opened. Further says that she feels more at home in the middle order. Adds that she wasn't striking the ball well all season but is happy that she got her team over the line.
Manchester Originals Women will be crestfallen after this defeat. Their bowling was under pressure in the Powerplay but they then pulled back the strings in the middle phase. Sophie Ecclestone was excellent in restricting the flow of runs but towards the end, they lost control completely. This is now the highest successful chase in The Hundred (Women) and Northern Superchargers Women has pushed Manchester Originals Women on the brink of elimination.
Chasing a stiff target, the Superchargers started with a bang as Alyssa Healy put on a show. She though fell on the last ball of the Powerplay and from there on, it became tough for the home team to keep up with the required rate. The pressure was mounting but Laura Wolvaardt stayed there and kept finding the fence with some sublime shots. Her stand with Hollie Armitage was critical in keeping the Superchargers afloat and then the partnership between Laura and Heather Graham did the trick for the home team. It was a knock from the top-drawer by Laura Wolvaardt and she has proven her worth as an opener.
What a cliffhanger! Northern Superchargers have pulled off an exceptional win to keep their campaign alive. Smiles all around in their dugout, this is a win earned by the awesome batting effort of Laura Wolvaardt. Take a bow!

Deandra Dottin To Heather Graham
NORTHERN SUPERCHARGERS WOMEN WIN BY 7 WICKETS! A stunning game of cricket here at Headingley. Fraction short in length, slower in pace but down the leg side, Graham turns and tries to pull but fails to connect cleanly. It perhaps goes off the gloves or the thigh pad past short fine leg for the winning run.
