Earlier, after deciding to bat first in the first inning, the Morrisville Samp Army scored 127 runs at the loss of two wickets in 10 overs. An electrifying inning from Andries Gous who scored 68 off just 33 balls. Not to forget the cameo's played by Moeen Ali at the start and Karim Janat in the end.
A day which Team Abu Dhabi will just want to forget as they did not even manage to score half of the runs their opponents did. Only three of the batters managed to score in double digits and three batters were sent into the hut for a duck. A poor display of batting by Team Abu Dhabi as they were bundled for 48 runs in 8.4 overs.
Morrisville Samp Army bowlers were all over the Team Abu Dhabi batters and they never let them settle in. They were just amazing with the ball. Kashif Daud and Bas de Leede bagged three wickets but Kashif Daud was the pick for them as his economy rate was just 1.8 runs. Raja Akif took two wickets whilst Jacobus Pienaar took one. They bowled out Team Abu Dhabi at just 48 runs.
