That is all from this game. Hobart Hurricanes have won but they still stay in 7th spot. Wednesday sees The Adelaide Strikers take on the Melbourne Stars, at the Adelaide Oval from 6.40 pm local (0810 GMT). Should be a good one. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
MACLISTER WRIGHT HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. He says that it was a great game to be a part off. On the catch he took to get rid of Nabi, Wright says that he is very relieved to have taken it as he lost it in the lights. Feels great to be playing with this team, though he admits that things have not quite gone their way. On his own knock. Wright says that the idea was to just bat through the innings and considers himself lucky to bat through.
Earlier in the evening, Hobart powered themselves to 190 after a see-saw type of innings. First, Matthew Wade started like a runaway train but then after his dismissal, the Hurricanes got a roadblock. Eventually, it was the McDermott cameo which just about helped them.
Well, whom to praise here? Matthew Wade? For bringing on Clive Rose in the 19th over? Or do you think did Wade get away with his folly? Wouldn't it have been better if Qais Ahmad had been saved for the death? Too many questions and when Nabi hammered 12 off the first 3 balls, it seemed like the match will end in the 19th over itself. But Rose stuck to his job and removed the President and that turned the tide. And of course, the final over was brilliant from Ellis. Full marks to Qais Ahmad for bowling a fantastic spell first up but we still believe Wade should have kept an over of his for the death.
Mohammad Nabi - possibly 4 runs away from winning the Man Of The Match award. His 63 from 30 injected momentum into the run chase and that assault over Nathan Ellis made it looks like the 'Gades are in it. But sadly, for all his efforts, his team let him down.
Right. So what won the game for the Hurricanes? A couple of full tosses. First, the President was dismissed. And then, the vice President. Well, Webster is not actually the vice President but given that he and Nabi got dismissed in the span of 5 balls, totally hurt the Renegades. Chasing 191, they seemed to be on track when Marsh, Nabi and Webster were batting - but some harakiri towards the end just helped them snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
What a game. The Hurricanes are all over Nathan Ellis. He went for 20 runs in the 18th over but the captain stuck with him to defend 10 in the 20th. Of course, he did not have any other option. But Ellis did not disappoint.

HOBART HURRICANES WIN BY 4 RUNS! Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. Full and around middle, Christian drives this down the ground and can only come back for the second!

DOT BALL! Six needed for a Super Over now. Full and outside off, right in the slot, Christian swings but misses!

Nathan Ellis To Samit Patel
Backs away down the leg side, Samit looks to hit this through the off side but misses as the bowler follows him. The batsmen take a quick bye as the keeper misses his shy at the striker's end. Christian was a goner!

Full and around off, slower ball, Christian looks to slog but gets a thick inside edge onto his pads. A run taken.

Nathan Ellis To Beau Webster OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! Two full tosses, two wickets! Wow. Is the game turning? This is on middle and Webster swings it high into the night sky on the leg side. Deep square leg gets into position and Thomas Rogers takes a decent catch. The batsman looks at the square leg umpire, expecting a no ball for height and the umpires get together. They check for the overstepping and the waist-high no ball. Both counts seem to be fine. 9 needed from 4 balls. But two new men in the middle.

Nathan Ellis To Beau Webster
SAFE AS A HOUSE. Yorker outside off, Webster digs it out to long off. The batsmen charge in for the second and there is a direct hit at the bowler's end. It is referred upstairs but replays show that the skipper is well in.
Direct hit! Referred upstairs but Christian seems to be in. Yes, replays confirm.

TOP EDGE, BUT NO ONE TAKES IT! What a life for Webster and at what stage of the game! A full ball, outside off, Webster looks to swing but gets a top edge. Luckily for him, it lands wide of cover and he is safe! A single taken. 13 from the over, along with a wicket. 11 needed from the final over.

Lovely bowling. Plenty of loop, flight, very less pace, Webster swings early but misses.
Daniel Christian, the skipper, comes out for the final rites.

Clive Rose To Mohammad Nabi OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! Is there still a twist left in the tale? The President is gone. Does that mean the game is gone too? At least Hobart would love to believe it. A full toss, around middle, Nabi swings hard but the ball dips onto him. It goes off the inner half of the bat towards deep mid-wicket where Macalister Wright comes charging in and takes a good running catch to his left! Fine knock by Nabi. Got the Renegades back into the contest. 12 needed from 8 balls now.

Did McDermott miss a run out? Wade is sen smiling. Outside off, slightly fuller, driven sweetly through the covers for a couple. However, when the throw comes in to the keeper, the batsman is seen to be short but Ben forgets that he has to whip the bails off. He removes but is late!
