Victorious Papua New Guinea skipper Assad Vala is all smiles. Says that he is relieved that the team got away with a performance like that, having been 6/19. On the collapse, Assad says that the ball swung, which surprised the batsmen but also puts it down to soft dismissals, as the batters were not focussing on rotating the strike. Is happy that they could stretch it to 118. Commits to rectifying the mistakes which happened today. On the bowling bailing them out, Vala says that it is their strength.
Kenyan captain, Shem Ngoche, congratulates PNG for topping the group and wishes them all the best in the 2020 WT20. On his team's bowling, Shem says that his bowlers put the pressure consistently, hitting the right areas but then praises Norman Vanua for batting well. Then laments his own side's disappointing batting, as 118 was not a big total. Feels it is an area of concern as it has now happened 3-4 times in succession. Undoubtedly, Kenya have lost a match which they should have won. They were 40/1, chasing 119 but Karim's wicket set the cat amongst the pigeons. Assad Vala was the one who caused the collapse, running through the middle order while Nosaina Pokana took 3 wickets.
