Alright, folks! That is it from the coverage of this game! The Qualifier 2 will be played on Tuesday, 21st December, 2021 at Hambantota between Dambulla Giants and Jaffna Kings. That game will begin at 7.30 pm local time (2 pm GMT). We look forward to your company for this game! Cheers!
Bhanuka Rajapaksa, the victorious skipper of Galle Gladiators, says that when you bat on good tracks, it is completely different and credits his batters by saying that they did a great job. Tells that he likes the combination of his side and he does not want to make any changes. Mentions that the credit must go to the bowlers as they held their nerves in such a crucial game.
Thisara Perera, the skipper of Jaffna Kings, says that they gave away 20-25 runs more. Adds that his team players are doing a good job but they will come back stronger in the next game. Mentions that it is difficult to adjust to the good pitches in Hambantota, as compared to the turning wickets at Colombo.
Kusal Mendis is the Player of the Match. He says that this pitch was very different from Colombo and he had a very good partnership with Danushka Gunathilaka. Tells that he did practice very hard, his coaches helped him a lot and is grateful for this opportunity.
Stay tuned for the Presentation...
Well, nothing much to talk about the batting of Jaffna Kings. They lost their opener in Avishka Fernando early but Rahmanullah Gurbaz held one end and ensured that runs kept coming for them. However, he did not get any support from the other end and the Kings kept losing wickets at regular intervals. He was their lone warrior who kept his side in the game but once he perished, it was all over for Jaffna Kings. Although Wanindu Hasaranga played a scintillating cameo at the end, the asking rate kept creeping up for the Kings and that brought wickets for the Galle Gladiators. All in all, it was a disappointing performance from the defending champions and they will need to pull their socks up going into the Qualifier 2!
Galle Gladiators continue their dominance over Jaffna Kings. They were scintillating with the ball as well. They played as the conditions demanded, and used their pacers perfectly. Nuwan Thushara was certainly the pick of the bowlers as he managed to pick a five-wicket haul and demolished Kings' batting lineup.  A flawless performance once again, and they are through to the final of the Lanka Premier League 2021.
What a comprehensive win this has been for Galle Gladiators and they have now defeated Jaffna Kings for the third time this season! The Gladiators storm into the final while the Jaffna Kings will have one more chance to redeem themselves against Dambulla Giants in the Qualifier 2.

Nuwan Thushara To Maheesh Theekshana OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! There it is! Nuwan Thushara bags a five-wicket haul and Jaffna Kings are bundled out for 124! Good-length ball, outside off. Maheesh Theekshana looks to go over covers but he only manages a thick outside edge towards the keeper. Kusal Mendis behind the sticks, makes no mistake and Galle Gladiators WIN THE QUALIFIER 1 BY 64 RUNS!

Nuwan Thushara To Wahab Riaz OUT!
OUT! BOWLED! What an outing it has been for Nuwan Thushara! He serves a slower ball, on a length, around off. Wahab Riaz has a wild swing at it but he misses and the ball cannons onto his off pole. Thushara punches the air in delight!
Normally, when things go wrong for you, plenty of questions are asked. One such question that would be asked of the Jaffna Kings would be the leaving out of Jayden Seales. After doing so well in his previous game where he took a 4-fer, it was really surprising to see him being left out. Also sometimes, you want to strengthen your batting firepower and for that, you end up sacrificing someone. Jaffna do like to chase but who knows, if Seales had been playing tonight, Galle might not have got to 188 in the first place.

Anwar Ali To Wanindu Hasaranga
Anwar Ali misses his length, serves a low full toss ball, on the pads. Wanindu Hasaranga pushes it to long off. A single taken.
Strategic Time-Out! Galle Gladiators are bossing this game right now. One just feels that the wicket of Chaturanga de Silva was the last nail in the coffin. The Kings now need a special knock from Wanindu Hasaranga to see them through. It is a very tough ask for Hasaranga though as he is running out of partners as well. The Jaffna Kings have lost 4/39 in the last 5 overs and that has derailed this game completely. Wahab Riaz comes out to have a swing.

Anwar Ali To Chaturanga de Silva OUT!
