Tamim Iqbal starts by thanking the crowd for the support. Adds the total was gettable as the wicket was good one. Says it was pleasing to see how Towhid Hridoy and Shanto batted. Mentions he is pleased with his squad.
...Presentation time...
For Ireland, they began well but as the ball got old, it got easier to score and Bangladesh capitalized. They scored quickly and Ireland were unable to contain them. In the end, Bangladesh completed a very good win to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Hard one for them, they did the job with the bat, the likes of Harry Tector and George Dockrell stepped up but in vain in the end.
That’s some chase from Bangladesh! We felt the score was quite over par but they have gunned it down with some ease. Shanto was the star. He batted brilliantly. Attacked the bowlers and it came off. He scored a brilliant ton and the others did their job too. The likes of Towhid Hridoy played brilliantly and he provided the much-needed impetus. It came down to the last over but the experienced Rahim kept his cool and took them over the line.

The umpires are checking for a no ball. Waist height no ball.

Is Rahim run out? This looks close! It is coming down to small inches as the third umpire uses different angles. NOT OUT IT IS! Full and on middle, this is tucked to mid-wicket. Rahim wanted a quick single but is sent back from halfway mark. The throw comes in at the bowler's end where George Dockrell collects in front of the sumps and flicks the bails but turned out just a bit late.
