The Indian skipper, MS DHONI smiles and nods when asked the happy days are here again. He says it was a good game. Further adds that even if pacers have an off day, there are plenty of options to cover. So India have clinched this series in the most comfortable manner today. Winning the series in the way they have, it will do a world of good for their confidence going into the Asia Cup and World T20.
It is the Indian bowling that deserve all the credit, though. In particular, their spin bowling. From the first over itself, they started picking up wickets and ran through the Sri Lankan batting line-up. None of the visitors' batsmen put up any kind of fight at any stage. Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers, who finished with a career best figures of 4/8.
So India have comfortably won this match. And with that, take the series 2-1. It wasn't much of a task for them as they just had to chase down a target of 83 runs. Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane saw the match off comfortably and it was all wrapped up just under 14 overs. They did not have to take any chances and played a risk-free innings. This is also India's biggest win in terms of wickets and balls remaining.
