Mahmudullah, the skipper of Minister Group Dhaka and the Player of the Match says that this was a much-needed win and Tamim set the things upfront and they had a good partnership in the middle. Rubel Hossain has been bowling superbly this season and he produced a big wicket in the first over in the form of Liton Das. Faf then was unfortunately run-out and the Dhaka bowlers took full benefit of the big score by building pressure with dot balls. Then the first over from Andre Russell in the 11th over was the game-changer as he got both the set-batters out and after that Dhaka were all over Comilla Victorians. In the end, they bowled out Comilla for 131 and are finally clicking as a unit now. The batting unit is scoring big runs and the bowling too is looking sharper now.
What a collapse this has been for Comilla Victorians. The last 8 wickets have fallen for just 49 runs. They were 82-2 at one stage and were going good with the partnership between Kayes and Joy. But once Kayes departed it all started falling apart and some good bowling and some ordinary batting made sure that Comilla fall well short of the target here. First loss for them in this tournament and it is a big one.
Another comprehensive victory for Minister Group Dhaka. They put on a big score on the board and then the bowlers have finished things off in a clinical fashion. Comilla Victorians have been handed their first defeat here and Minister Group Dhaka are getting into their groove now with two wins on the trot now.
