In the first innings, Rohit and Pandya did all the damage and helped their team post a good total. Nehra was unplayable in the start and ended up being the best with the ball, picking up three wickets and giving just 23 runs. Pandya, Ashwin, Bumrah all got one apiece and in the end the Indians won the opening game comprehensively.
