That is it from this match. Australia have won the match and the series in convincing fashion. However, we still have one more game remaining in this series where Sri Lanka will be trying to end on a high after some underwhelming performances. As for the Aussies, they have the opportunity to whitewash the Island nation. Join us on Friday, 1st November on 1910 Local (0810 GMT) for the final match of the series. Till then, cheers and take care.
For his unbeaten knock of 60 off 41 balls, David Warner is named the Man of the Match. Warner too credits his bowlers for restricting them to 117. On the pitch, he says there was more bounce and carry than Adelaide. On his own for, he says he has worked hard and tried to hit the ball well in the nets. He though adds that all that matters is the performance out in the middle. On batting with Steve Smith, Warner tells that it is wonderful to bat with him. Smiles and says he was aware that it would involve a lot of running. But Warner says he is a world class player and it is always a joy to bat with him as he makes it look easy.
Australian skipper, Aaron Finch is next up. Finch says they were clinical and they set the game with the ball early on. Credits Warner and Smith for their performance with the bat adding that they are class. Tells that the bowlers executed the plans well and delivered with the ball making it easy for him as a partner. On Warner and Smith's comeback, Finch says that it is wonderful to have two of the best batters back in the squad. Further adds that they have been excellent within the group.
Sri Lankan skipper, Lasith Malinga is first up for a chat with Isa Guha. Malinga says that Australia is a tough side and it was difficult to defend 118. Admits that the batters need to put in a better effort and bat according to the situation. Tells they failed to get any partnership going and that is why they are in this situation. Malinga tells they have to go back home and have a re-look before the T20I World Cup here.
Who do you think will be the Man of the Match? Warner or Smith for their brilliant batting display or one of the Aussie bowler who set up the game? Stay tuned for the presentation.
Steve Smith is down for a quick chat. Smith tells they played well and credits his bowlers for the way they bowled. On his comeback in T20Is, Smith says he has had good rest in that time and admits that it is always difficult to play all three formats. On batting with Warner, Smith says it is a joy to bat with him and it is fun to watch him hit the balls from the other end.
Earlier in the day, the Australian bowlers annihilated the Sri Lankan batting line up after the visitors elected to bat first. The only batter who showed some fight was Kusal Perera. All of the Australian bowlers except Kane Richardson bagged 2 wickets each and kept a very good economy rate.
As for the Sri Lankan bowlers, they did not have much to bowl at and that did not help their case. However, one could say that they should have taken some tips from their skipper on how to bowl consistent lines and lengths as Lasith Malinga was the only one who could come out of this match with some credit.
The innings started with a scare for Australia as they lost their skipper, Aaron Finch on a golden duck in the first over itself. However, there were no more hiccups as David Warner and Steven Smith took control of the innings and took Australia home. Both of them scored a half ton on the way to a comprehensive victory and the Kangaroos will be mightily pleased as they have dismantled the Sri Lankans in both the matches played so far.
Hand shakes all around and Australia have won this 3 match T20I series in the second match itself. Also, this is their first bilateral T20I series win at home in 5 years.

NOT OUT! No he has not. Lakshan Sandakan would not be happy with that. Shorter delivery on off, Warner makes room and hits it hard straight down the ground. The ball goes onto hit the stumps. Smith was out of his crease. Sandakan collects the ball with his right hand and takes the stumps off with his left.
Run Out appeal taken upstairs. Smith is the man in question. He is well short of his crease but the question is has Sandakan touched the stumps with the ball in hand?

NOT OUT! Sri Lanka lose their review! Good length ball around leg, Warner looks to flick this one but misses it. The ball hits him on the back pad and the Sri Lankan players put in an appeal. The umpire though is unmoved. Malinga has a word with his bowler then signals the 'T'. Replay rolls in. Hot Spot and Ultra Edge first confirm there is no bat involved. Hawk Eye then comes on and it shows that the ball was pitching outside leg. Sri Lanka lose their sole review.
Review time! LBW appeal taken upstairs. Sri Lanka have opted to take the review. David Warner is the man in question. It looks like a hopeful referral let's see what the replays have to say.
