So that completes our formalities for this match. The series has become more interesting now and Pakistan have bounced back hard after having a nightmarish tour so far. They would look to repeat the tale of MCG but they would have to deal against a charged up Australian side. The third ODI is set to take place at the WACA, Perth on 19th of January at 0850 IST (0320 GMT). We have a cracker of a contest on our hands, do join us for that. Meanwhile, do tune in for the India and England match that is going on. Till then, adios and take care!
Pakistan skipper and Man of the Match, Mohammad Hafeez feels that the boys did a great job. Adds that their batsmen played well as the ball was not coming on to the bat and the bowlers did the job too. Adds that Malik bowled well and he is an experienced player. He finished it in the end. Mentions that they love the Pakistani crowd and they love them too. Says that they have won this for Pakistan.
Australia skipper, Steven Smith says they were below par with the bat in today's game, just like in the first game as well. Adds that had it not been for Matthew Wade who bailed them out of trouble, they would have been in some serious trouble (In the first game). States that they lost wickets in clumps and they need to give themselves a better chance. Acknowledges that they struggled against the Pakistan spinners to play their natural game and build partnerships, which is something they would like to change in the next match. Admits that they tried their best till the end and never stopped believing, but Pakistan were too good for them on the day. Feels that his side was probably 40 runs short and that put too much pressure on the bowlers. Credits his bowlers for bowling the way they performed and kept the pressure on the opposition. (On Chris Lynn's fitness) Says that they will have to wait and see to assess whether he will travel with the squad to Perth. He ends by saying that he hopes to get a nice, bouncy wicket at Perth and that they can do well there.
Shoaib Malik played a confident knock down the order and settled the nerves after the tourists lost Azam and Hafeez in quick succession. Starc, Faulkner and Hazlewood were great with the ball but is was a too low target to defend. Earlier, Steven Smith was the only one who played a responsible knock and scored a fighting half century for the home side. The Pakistani bowlers were right on the money and strangled the Aussie batsmen to a low total. Junaid Khan and Mohammad Amir were terrific with the ball for the visitors and gave their batters a real shot at victory. In the end, they backed the effort of their bowlers to get to glory.
That's it, the long wait for Pakistan comes to an end. They have broken the drought after almost 12 years and have cruised to a comfortable victory against Australia as they have leveled the series 1-1. The steady and crucial 68-run opening stand between Sharjeel and Hafeez set it up nicely for the visitors and the rest cashed in to see them through at the end. Hafeez played a terrific knock today and led by example to score a patient 72. The hosts would be ruing the fact that they dropped him for a duck and the Professor made them pay big time.

Travis Head To Umar Akmal
Wide! A rather anti-climatic way to win but Pakistan will take it nevertheless. Head from around the wicket darts it down the leg side, Umar Akmal just leaves it alone. So with that, PAKISTAN WIN THIS MATCH BY 6 WICKETS!

FOUR! THEY'RE ALMOST HOME! Full toss on off, Umar Akmal hammers his back down the ground for a boundary. Almost took off his partner's head with that but the two of them are all smiles anyway. Just one run needed to win now.
