Mohsin Khan ended with 3 wickets while Dushmantha Chameera and Krunal Pandya took two each in an epic bowling display. Earlier, Liam Livingstone and Jonny Bairstow departed to put LSG in command of the match. Liam Livingstone and Jonny Bairstow steadied PBKS' ship after a flurry of wickets in the first 10 overs of the run-chase but soon the former lost his wicket to Mohsin Khan. Dushmantha Chameera dismissed skipper Mayank Agarwal for 25 runs as KL Rahul took a good catch at the mid-off region. Soon, Ravi Bishnoi took Shikhar Dhawan's wicket followed by Bhanuka Rajapaksa departing to Krunal Pandya to jolt PBKS in the run-chase. Chasing 154 for a win, Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal started cautiously before the latter took on the bowlers vs LSG. Kagiso Rabada ended with four wickets as LSG were restricted to 153/8 by PBKS bowlers.
Batting first, after a tentative start post KL Rahul's early wicket, LSG tried to recover through Quinton De Kock and Deepak Hooda. Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni were also dismissed to help PBKS fight back amazingly. Sandeep Sharma dismissed De Kock while Hooda was run-out followed by Krunal falling to Arshdeep Singh. Stoinis, Holder also departed after showing some promise at the crease. PBKS captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss and opted to field at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
KL Rahul at the toss: "When dew is not around, it's quite an even game. I have played here before, we'll have to bat smartly. Manish misses out, Avesh Khan comes in."
Mayank Agarwal at the toss: "We are going to bowl first. We'd like to know what total to chase. No changes to our line-up. There is very less dew here. The guys are quite flexible. It's going to be a terrific challenge."
